Story
Support Orange Sky Laundry, Westpac Foundation's community partner, to help to raise funds to provide free mobile laundry services to people experiencing homelessness. We're aiming to raise $2000 (including matching gifts).

Orange Sky Australia provides free mobile laundry services and genuine, non-judgemental conversation and connection to people experiencing homelessness throughout Adelaide CBD and surrounding suburbs. Being positively reconnected to the community is incredibly important for our homeless friends, many of whom are shunned or ignored by much of the community. The van will raise health standards (physical and emotional) for those who are homeless, through the provision of clean sanitised clothes.

Orange Sky Australia (ORANGE SKY LAUNDRY INC)
Orange Sky Australia is the world’s first free mobile laundry service for people experiencing homelessness – an idea founded in a Brisbane garage by two 20-year-old mates, Nic Marchesi and Lucas Patchett. In late 2014, the boys installed a couple of washing machines and dryers in the back of their old van and visited parks around Brisbane to wash and dry clothes for free. What started as an idea to improve hygiene standards and restore dignity to people doing it tough has evolved into something much bigger and more powerful. Orange Sky has now grown to 36 services in 25 locations across Australia and has provided Australians doing it tough with over 2 million kilograms of free laundry, 20,000 showers and 330,000 hours of genuine and non-judgemental conversation across 36 service locations.
